Alberta, Canada, 1987. After moving from another city, Robin starts the school year in a new class. Being non-binary, Robin draws the attention of both the school bully and the most popular girl. Trevor Anderson’s directorial debut is a funny and painful dramedy which pays homage to the visual style of ‘80s US cinema, while changing its narrative style. According to IndieWire it is “one of the 10 must-see films presented at the 2022 Locarno Film Festival”.

Trevor Anderson
Trevor Anderson is a Canadian actor, scriptwriter, music video and film director. With his short films, he has participated in the most important international film festivals: with The Man That Got Away (2012), he won the D.A.A.D. Short Film Prize in Berlin. The Little Deputy (2015) and the sci-fi horror film Docking (2019) then debuted at the Sundance film festival and have been included in the prestigious Canada’s Top Ten films list, compiled by the Toronto International Film Festival.
