The Lovers Film Festival (April 16-21, 2024) announces the first previews of its 39th edition.
Among the Festival’s guests, there are three names much loved by the LGBTQI+ community: comedian and activist Annagaia Marchioro; actor, comedian and content creator Paolo Camilli; and actor, radio speaker, host and activist Guglielmo Scilla.
The Festival will also feature Italian single screening of the documentary LIL NAS X: LONG LIVE MONTERO, by Carlos López Estrada and Zac Manuel, about the life of the celebrated African-American rapper from Atlanta. The film chronicles the artist’s first tour and draws a surprisingly intimate portrait of a singer who ranges between identity, family, expectations and acceptance and who is, for all intents and purposes, part of the “Olympus” of queer black artists.
The Lovers Film Festival is powered by the National Museum of Cinema in Turin and is held with the support of MiC, the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin.
